Summer, Summer, Summer Time!
These pics are from our family outing to Bays Mountain Park. We had fun seeing all animals. Unfortunately, the reptile exhibit was closed! We did get to see some turtles though!
Super Dad said that he felt like he was a having to do all the pushing in the 100 degree heat, but I told him to remember where I was last summer. After carrying these 2 around in my belly, I deserve a long break!!
I'm glad we don't have any alligators here in East Tn cause this water looks like it could make a great home for them!
Playing in the yard!
Smiley Pants!

Another Victim
Well, Brady did get the chicken pox exactly 14 days after his sissy. He has them twice as bad as Karson. He is pitiful!!!!!!! I am just happy that they will go away in a couple of weeks--unlike some kids who have terrible illnesses that don't. We had to take him to see an eye dr. because he has one in his eye. Everyone stared at him in the waiting room. It made me feel so bad for him! I can't imagine how parents of children who have birth defects or look different must feel when people stare at their precious babies.
Hey! It's Casper the friendly ghost! He does want to play for short periods of time---night is when he feels so bad! But, he is getting to sleep between mommy and daddy all night----and sometimes he just sleeps on daddy's chest.
Honestly, these pics don't show how bad it really is! These were from Monday and it is a whole lot worse! He is truly miserable! They are in his little nose, on his fingers, in his eye, all over his scalp and on places that I dare not even mention!
Here is Karson after eating the same "cookie". What a difference!! Actually, she is usually a messier eater. She just had more fun throwing hers in the floor and watching it fall over and over instead of eating it!

A New Van and A Case of the Chicken Pox
My sweet girl, Karson Hannah, had the chicken pox last week. She must have caught them from her Grammy (my mom) who had the shingles (she had a VERY light case and actually thought her forehead was just broken out from a new lotion she had used-----------so, she was around Karson and Brady for a week before the dermatologist determined that she actually had the shingles). Karson didn't have a horrible case of the chicken pox, but she did have enough to make her miserable for a couple of days----plus she ran a fever of 103 at one point. I don't think these pics do justice to her suffering. Here she is in her oatmeal bath eating her duckie (you can see some near her scalp).
Here is a shot of her back in the bath. Again, the pics don't do really show them that well; and, this was just a couple of days into her breakout--she got a few more bumps every day. Luckily, she didn't have 100's and 100's like some poor kids do!
The poor thing was so itchy that I covered her in lotion every couple of hours. I decided to give in and let her play with the remote for once.
Here is Mr. Brady (who by the way hasn't come down with the chicken pox as of now) playing with the new toy that Grammy bought the twins as her way of saying she is sorry for giving her precious grand-babies the chicken pox.
We are now officially the proud owners of a Mini Van! Jeremy said that he never dreamed that his first new car would be a van! We were so excited to get this van----it was like we were purchasing a new sport's car! It is a 2007 Honda Odyssey EXL. We are thrilled---I never thought I would say this in a million years! Mamas out there, take the plunge----put your pride aside and be a mini van mom---it soooo roomy and the stroller is much easier it get in and out!
No, Jeremy is not as stupid as Britney Spears. They were in the driveway!
