What?

Okay, so the comments link somehow appeared on my last post about not being able to show or post comments? Go figure? This is a pic of what it is like at my house right now (Yes, I have been obsessed with fixing this problem for hours!!!!)

I am supposed to be where the pillows are. They go to sleep in their cribs fine but somehow make it to our bed about 2ish. THIS HAS TO STOP! :) I WANT MY HUBBY ALL TO MYSELF!

No Comments For Me :(

Somehow, the HTML code got corrupted, and I have lost my comments link. Since I know nothing about HTML code (except for that really cute Jane Austen web page I created my sophomore year of college for a basic computer class), I can't fix it. I have tried. And, obviously since no one can leave me a comment, you can't help me fix the problem. This stinks! I'd love to hear from you, but HTML won;t let me!

Be Still My Heart!!!!!

Jeremy begged me not to post this--not out of jealousy of course--but out of embarrassment! I am so thrilled to announce that The New Kids on the Block are officially back together! Laugh if you want, but when I saw them on the Today Show, I got a real goofy grin on my face and felt my heart flutter a little when I heard Joey begin to speak!! I love these guys!!!!

Check out a few clips of them as late 30's/40 something hotties!

Another Fun Friday

We are very blessed that Jeremy only works half a day on Fridays. This Friday, we spent the day at Bays Mountain and Eastman Park. Later, we dropped the kids off at Nana and Papa's and spent the rest of the evening grilling out/hanging out just the two of us. I have the best hubby ever!!

I Love this picture!Walking out on the bridge--the double stroller just fit!We found little "pie cones"
And enjoyed running on the path!
And swinging on the rockets (I used to love swinging on these too!)

And sliding!

We even went down the big slide! (Daddy had to take the twins down this slide at least 10 times! They loved it! I used to love this one too!)

Posse Reunion 2008

"When times are good, be happy." Ecclesiastes 7:14

A month or so ago, I posted a picture of me with 2 of my very best high school friends, Katie Cruze Shafer and Casey Bentley Littell. Last Wednesday, we had a fabulous reunion at the Knoxville Zoo with our children. Being with them for a few short hours, really brought back lots of memories and laughs! I really, really enjoyed being with them! I had forgotten just how much fun we used to have together! It almost felt like we were acting in one of our old video projects---and we were all playing the role of mommy. It is hard to believe that we are all grown up now with babies of our own! I think we've all turned out pretty well! I love these girls a lot and admire the women they have become!

After the Zoo, the girls and I went out to dinner. I left the kids at my brother and sister-in-law's house. They loved their boxer Dakota---especially Karson. I'm sure that poor dog was glad to see us go! Here is Brady and Uncle Dave

We love Spring!

Spring is in the air! I am soooo happy to get to be outside with the kids! Remember the movie The Shining---where the family was cooped up in that creepy hotel all winter and the dad goes nuts! Somedays, I felt like I was gonna snap just like Jack Nickelson! Needless to say, I am so glad that Spring is here and we can spend tons of time outside!!! Brady and Karson love to find "flowers" in the yard. They are like my very own free weeding service.
These are a couple of pics from our playgroup. We mommies decided that we'd rather the kids play in the rubber pebbles than in the sand. They didn't seem to mind.

My Man Won the Masters!

Did you know that Oz won the Masters yesterday! We are all very proud!Seriously, Oz really does look like Trevor in profile pics. A friend at church even stopped me in the nursery yesterday and said, "Hey, your husband is about to win the Masters." I sure would like to have a little of his winnings!!!

Brady the Builder

While we were playing outside on Friday afternoon, Jeremy decided to put some left-over bricks under his storage building. Brady was very excited to help. He brought one brick after another to Jeremy, and he was really interested in exactly what daddy was doing with them. It was really cute!
Karson helped a little too. But, she left the lifting to the boys.

You are........

"A hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when dreams come true at last there is life and joy!" Proverbs 13:12

As Promised.........

Jeremy and I are doing the bible study "Growing Kids God's Way" by Gary and Anne Marie Ezzo. We have learned that bribes are not okay unless you use them very, very sparingly and offer them more as a reward for accomplishing a particular skill--not for teaching moral truths. However, the other night to try to get Karson and Brady to go right to sleep without crying, I promised that if they would go to bed like a big boy and girl that tomorrow we would:

1. Go to the park

2. Find and feed the ducks

3. See a train

4. Play outside

Sleeping without having to be rocked is a skill not a moral truth...so I guess I didn't break the rules?!?!

Anyway, here are the pics from the next day......

Taking 2 curious toddlers to the park alone is quite daringThank goodness for the swings...they provide mommy with a much needed break from wrangling 2 little ones who like to wander off in opposite directions!
Karson giving her super, cheesy, smiley face smile for the camera.

Brady quickly decided that he would rather eat the bread than feed it to the ducks.

The train came by just as we were about to leave.

5 must haves for feeding toddlers:

1. A sense of humor (You gotta be able to laugh at the fact that you stayed up till midnight the night before mopping the kitchen, and by breakfast all signs of your efforts have been erased!)

2. A willingness to share (If you have something really super tasty, you should take it and hide behind a locked door to eat it.)

3. The ability to read minds ("No" never really means no, and just because they say "juice" doesn't really mean they are gonna drink it.)

4. Flexibility (You must be willing to substitute the meal you slaved over for microwaved mac'n cheese.)

5. Faith (You gotta believe that God will somehow keep your child healthy when sometimes the only thing in their daily "food pyramid" is goldfish, left-over pizza and frozen chicken nuggets.)

Hanging in the yard with a new friend

We LOVE "outside." Brady says, "Brady out; Brady out" to let us know he wants out of the house. Don't worry son, this Mama has a terrible case of cabin fever. We are outside whenever possible!
A paci for the mouth, a paci to hold and the yard bunny
Karson, just prancin around the yard
Tuesday, Aiden Fischer (Brooke and Steve's little boy) came over to play, and we all enjoyed "outside." Exploring
Picking "flowers" (aka weeds) for their mamas

It's fun being a girl!

We are overflowing with bows at our house. For now, she is all girl and mommy is loving it!
Bow is one of Brady's favorite words. If he finds one, he always brings it to his Sissy and tries to put it in her hair.
Here is part of Karson's stash.
