"Children grow up while you are not looking. There will be years ahead for cleaning and cooking. So quiet now cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm playing with my baby and babies don't keep."

Mother's Day 08
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy!
Psalm 30:11
We had a fun Mother's day this year. We had a cook-out at our house on Sat. night (prior to Mother's Day). My parents, grandmother and my brother's family came as well as Jeremy's parents.
Here is cousin Noah and the chainsaw. Karson and Brady LOVE playing with him! He is super sweet with them.

Sunday, my parents and brother's family went to Celebration Church with us and then ate some yummy left-overs at our house.
I forced them to sit long enough for a mommy and me shot.

Sissy takes her turn on the slide. She is a serious slider!
My brother, Dave, and Mema or (Me-me as Brady calls her). And, here is Aunt Cara and Karson. These guys have some great news! In January, we will be having a new addition to the family!!! Yeah! I am excited!! I can't wait to see those teeny, tiny toes! I hope they'll let Aunt Kristen come help! Remember, I've had lots of practice!

Yummy to My Tummy Blackiston Jam
So, I spilled a whole can of Diet Rite on my keyboard like 2 weeks ago--thus I haven't been able to type. Finally, my replacement arrived, and I just wanted to send a BIG thanks to the Blackiston family for the yummy jam that they gave us! It was a sweet surprise!
Here a biscuit covered with their super, delicious strawberry jam!
Here are my kiddies enjoying a very yummy breakfast! Check out the bed-heads!
Okay, this is the honest truth. Later that night, I could not sleep. I was in bed, and all I could think about was that left-over jam in my fridge ! So at 12:42 am, I came downstairs for more! My camera was sitting on the counter, so I snapped this pic.
Thanks again Blackistons!

Return to Hands On Museum
"Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise." James 5:13
Saturday, we got dressed to go to Warrior's Boundless Playground. But, just as we were about to leave, it began to rain. So, we decided to go to Hands On Museum instead. This was our second visit, and we had another great time!

K and B's Lawn Service
Since it is spring, we decided to hire some folks to help out with the yard work. They do okay work, but they sure are expensive!
Cleaned out the gutters...
Took a quick break...

They mowed the lawn...
Did some weed-eating...
Took a snack break...
Mowed a little more...
And watered the yard
Nice work kiddies!

Back Where I Come From
I LOVE that we live in Colonial Heights! I love just hanging out and doing a little bit of nothing with old friends and their kids! Saturday, we went to the CHMS softball field where Jeremy played a fun game of "tennis ball" baseball with high school buddies. I watched the kiddies cause #1--I throw like a girl and #2 I had on flip flops (kinda on purpose because again I am not that talented at baseball).
