Fish and Whistle......Whistle and Fish

This summer has FLOWN by!! I can't even begin to wrap my mind around the fact that school is about to start again!!! The Oz family has gotten to do so many fun things this summer!! We are blessed with great friends and family who have invited us to take part in lots of fun adventures this summer. A month or so ago, the Strickler family invited our small group from church to their family's cabin for a fun weekend of "camping." We had a blast!! And, I must say.......that it proves that you don't have to go somewhere expensive or exotic to experience a great family get-away! There IS actually fun to be had in Surgoinsville, Grammy!
Here are the girly-girls just'a swing'n!
Karson, Aly and Hannah
We rode in Mr. Geoffery's pick-up truck through the pasture to the creek. Karson loved the bumpy ride! Brady, on the other hand, was very concerned that a policeman was going to take us all to jail for not wearing seatbelts.......you can't get anything by him!

A little creek play'n does a body good!!

You've never seen a muddier bunch of kiddoes......though some of it wasn't just mud but "leftovers" from an afternoon swim had by a bunch of grazing animals who go "moo." :)
We crazy folks will do just about anything in the name of good, "clean" fun! We will even play in poo and smile while doing it!! Yep, we'd do just about anything for our kiddoes!

Megan, Geoffery, Matt and LeAnn

But nothing, gets better than good 'ol s'mores by the campfire!

The Oz kids also got to go fishing for the first time!!

Their favorite part was definitely cutting the night crawlers in half with scissors! However, all Mama Oz could think about was the black racer snake story that G-Daddy had told a few days prior to this great-outdoors adventure! I felt like Vicky, the fiance that Susan and Sharon took camping and wanted to get rid of on The Parent Trap! I seriously thought about banging two sticks together in an attempt to scare away any sketchy creatures who might be lurking in the weedy wilderness!

To all of the adults' surprise, we actually caught some fish!! Of course, this was after Mama Oz told the men-folk that we needed to use smaller hooks! Right as usual!

Here is Brady's first catch..........mostly Mama Oz's handy work......but I'll give him credit for letting me use his offical CARS' rod.
It was a super-fun trip!! The Oz's may become lovers of the great outdoors after all!
