My Sweet Little Valentines

I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating Valentine's Day with the one/ones you love! My sweetie and I decided to forgo the Valentine's Day restaurant madness and celebrated with a lovely dinner several days prior. My hubby also had to work....yes, on a Sunday :( but left me a beautiful, sweet-smelling bouquet of purple roses for the occasion. Did you know that purple roses primarily stand for enchantment and signify that he or she has fallen in love with the recipient at the very first sight??? Well, I didn't know that.......and I'm SURE the hubs didn't either......but I really did fall in love with him on our first date.......okay, maybe not love.......but I admit that I did listen to Celine Dion's If Walls Could Talk and Kenny Chesney's You Had Me from Hello one million times when we first started dating! But, I think he was pretty smitten with me too........at least he'd better say he was!

Anyway, we got the Jesus Storybook Bible and an Easter story DVD for our wee, little valentines........plus some chocolate treats and an one very annoying singing rose!
They LOVE the story of Jonah. Daddy Oz gave them a quick read before we got dressed for church.

I made Miss Priss this little pillowcase dress the night before. She picked out the pink heart fabric last month when we were at Hobby Lobby and asked me to make a dress for her. It was not what I would have chosen.....but she is all about pink, ya know! I added some scrap polka dot fabric that I had left over from another project to spice it up a bit.....and some cute polka dot ribbon at the top to match. It turned out very sweet! They are quite a pair!
These next pics are from the twins' V-Day party at school. The kids spotted their mommies waiting in their classroom and made a mad dash to us. Karson was supposed to be the line leader........everyone followed her pace. The object of the activity was to color each heart to match the candy........Brady ate all of the candy before he made a mark on his paper!My sweet girl in her $6 dollar outfit from Children's Place........man they have good sales!!

I thought all the kids looked so precious in their pink and red!

Valentine's Day is a great time to remember just how much you are LOVED by God. Because of his great love for us, we are all princesses and princes.........sons and daughters of a Heavenly King!! Oh how he loves you and me!!
