“Mommy, I don’t know who to marry,” has consumed most of Sissy’s (aka Karson) thoughts lately. She is very concerned about who she is going to marry because she REALLY wants to be a mommy. In fact, the other day, we drove past Eastman, and I asked Brady, “Are you gonna be an engineer and work there like Daddy someday?” And, he said, “Yes!”(....but added that he might be a cook there instead of an engineer.) Then I asked Karson, and she looked at me like I was totally crazy and said, “No! I am gonna stay home and not do anything.” (Boy, Jeremy got a kick out of that!) I said, “Karson, you can’t just not do anything.” And, she said, “But, Mommy…..I am gonna be a mommy, and I just want to take care of my baby like you, Mommy.”

So you see, the kid LOVES babies……..real babies…..doll babies….animal babies….animated babies…..you get the picture. Of course, we told her that she has to be married and have a daddy to have a baby……trying to get her to understand that it will be a LONG time before she can be a “real” mommy to a “real” baby.
Now that she understands that she needs a daddy for a baby, she is VERY concerned about WHO she is gonna marry. At first she thought she had it all figured out. She was sure that she was going to marry Brady. When we told her that wasn’t an option, she moved on to Daddy, then G-Daddy, Papa and all her male cousins. We explained to her that she would marry a boy that is not in our family. So, she has seriously deliberated over the 3 boys in her pre-school class…..trying to decide who might be best……..but, I think she thinks none of them are the perfect option (she did tell me that one of them does not push her down so she might choose him.)
Seriously, worrying about who to marry has been a real topic of concern for Miss Priss. Finally, she came to me the other day holding up five fingers and said, “Mommy, Daddy said he is going to choose a man for me to marry when I’m this old.” Her Daddy said, “Add 30 years to that hand and you’ve got a deal!”
But, we’ve added to our prayers at night for Jesus to please help find and watch over the person Karson is gonna marry.
These pics are from the first wedding Karson attended last weekend with her Grammy. I told her she better watch those flower girls carefully since she is gonna be one in June. I just hope she understands that she is just dropping the flowers and not the one getting married.

Brady, on the other hand, is not concerned at all about who to marry. He is way too cool for that......except to say, "I am NOT gonna marry a guwl! I don't like pink! I am gonna marry a boy wife!" Smart thinking son. I think, except for a few
particular activites, most men wish they had a boy wife too!
