A little something for my sweet little someone....

I spend a lot of time on e-bay. I usually don't buy anything, I just search. Often, as I am doing my middle-of-the-night "pretend" shopping sprees, I say to myself, "I can't believe someone would ask that much for that dress; I could make that!" Okay, most things I really couldn't make, but I finally decided to try my hand at making Karson a pillowcase dress.......it looked easy enough. And, easy it was!!!!!!! Because it was my first try, it took me a couple of hours to do. I had to rethread the bobbin and change thread a couple of times.....and was interrupted by some screaming children......oh, and I had to rip out a seam or two and redo ;) But, it ended up turning out so cute! And guess what........it only cost about $4! I know, I know Dave Ramsey would be proud!

Here is the finished product! Yay me!

Brady wanted to know where his was. I told him that pants were a lot trickier to make, but I promised to get right on that! And here is my cheesy kid modeling her dress before church on Sunday! She was really excited about the dress mommy made for her!
Here is my next project. This might become addicting!

OK - I want in on your sewing club :) I am so impressed - you are becoming so domesticated! I love this website - lollywollydoodle.com - I've never bought anything full price, but you can catch a few cute things on her "hotdeals" section sometimes - your dress looks as good as hers - maybe I'll just start placing orders with you!! Seriously, when Addison gets here and things settle down (OK, maybe next year!) I'm getting in on these projects :) Love you!
