For them this has meant coloring furniture with crayons, fighting, biting and MAJOR whining. Because I have heard, "MOM-MEEEEEEEEE, Sissy bit ME-EEEEE" and "MOM-EEEEE, hold MEEEEEEEEE" and "MOM-MEEEEEEE, one more treat PLE-EASE, " one too many times, I really, really, really needed a little ME time last night!! So, when the hubby arrived home from work, I said, "There are left over enchiladas, meatballs and fried chicken in the fridge......take your pick!" Then I raced upstairs with my bowl of leftovers for a little escape.
However, shortly after placing myself in hiding in my study, I heard tiny footsteps coming up the stairs, and then a tiny tot with a sweet little grin peeked around the door and said, "There you are Mommy! I found you!!!!" I think my response went something like this: "MOM-EEEEEEEE needs a BREAK-EEE!! Go downstairs with your DAD-DEEEEEEEE!!!!"
After much pleading, bribing and failed negotiating, I gave in and said, "Fine! But you have to sit over there by yourself and be quiet. It will NOT be much fun! So, you should go downstairs and play with Daddy!"
She left for a minute and when I turned around again from my computer screen, this is what I saw:

Here she is (shirtless, showing a little crack :) and wearing her Daddy's head fleece) sitting on her little vanity seat that she brought from her room. She was as quiet as a mouse!! First, she read a pop-up Noah's Ark book, and when she was finished, she silently tip-toed to her room for another. The sweet thing did not even whisper until I said I was ready to go back downstairs!

It was absolutely precious!!!
