hola!

My kiddos, like most pre-schoolers across America, are HUGE fans of some very popular Spanish speaking cartoon friends or should I say amigos. And thanks to these fine characters, they recognize many Spanish words and phrases. We have their videos, toys, clothing and watch their shows on a daily basis.
Tonight, we had just finished playing some games on nickjr.com, which incorporate many Spanish words. I was trying to get the kids dressed so we could head out the door to La Carretta, a local Mexican restaurant.

Brady was upset because he wanted to keep playing games. So I said, "Brady, did you know that most of the people who work at La Carretta can speak Spanish just like Dora?" He looked at me in total shock and disbelief and said, "Really?!?! I didn't know that real people spoke Spanish."

I think that is a clue that we need to get out a little more!!!
